My aerial is on the roof and is positioned on my chimney. It is not as high as my neighbours' aerials. It is positioned horizontally and seems to be pointing in a northernly direction. The neighbours' aerials seem to be pointing in the opposite direction more towards Oxford. I have been told that I need a new aerial plus a booster and that the new aerial needs to be positioned for the Oxford transmitter rather than the Charlbury transmitter for me to get Freeview. As this new equipment will be costing £250 +, I would appreciate your advice before I so invest. Thank you for any help you can give me.

rosemary galli: All you need to do is to wait for Wednesdays 14th/28th September 2011 and use a Freeview box.
You will get a much, much worse service from the Oxford transmitter.
If you want to spend money, get Freesat.
